GOLF AUSTRALIA APP INFORMATION

 Hi everyone.

Some of you may have noticed that since October 1st, or thereabouts, you have not been able to see your handicap or scoring history in the Golf Australia App.

With the changes to Golf Australia’s systems, which have been taking place over the past week, it appears that even though Golf Australia had your Golf Link number, name and some other details, you are required to ACTIVATE your Golf Australia account before it becomes live.

Only after you ACTIVATE your account will you be able to log in to the App and in to the member portal at Golf Australia’s golf.com.au

If you copy and paste this link into your web browser

 https://golf.com.au/account-setup-guide

it will take you to a page title “account set up guide”.

Go to step 2 and select “activate your account”.

Your current golf link number is your new lifetime Golf Australia ID number.

Enter that number and then select “NEXT”.

They will send a confirmation code to your registered email. When you receive that code enter it and go through the process of verifying your contact details. You will also need to accept Golf Australia’s terms and conditions and create a “new” password. I found that it was quite happy to accept my old password as my new password.

At the end of the process you can elect to sign up for Golf Australia’s newsletter or decline to do so.

Following the prompts you reach the point where it confirms your account is activated.

Using your Golf ID number and the password you selected you can now log in to the Golf Australia App or into your account on the Golf Australia website at golf.com.au

Be aware the App has been updated in the last week, so you should update it as you usually would update Apps in your iPhone or Android.

There’s one catch. If your current email address is not the one Golf Australia had on file prior to October 1st then you won’t be able to receive the confirmation code you need to activate your account. In this case you have to speak to the membership coordinator at your HOME golf club ( not BWDVGC) and ask them to update your email address with Golf Australia. You can try contacting Golf Australia directly but wait times may be quite long at the moment during the system upgrade.

GOOD LUCK.
