MiSCORE APP UPDATE and GENERAL SCORING

All players need to be aware that rather than submitting your own score via MiScore App or scorecard as we have been doing since COVID, the club now requires (since 7th July 2025) that players submit their partner’s scores via the App or card.

This is already generally the case at all of your home clubs.

If you and your partner are both on the MiScore App it will be straightforward. After comparing scores at the end of the round ensure each of you submits your partner’s score.

If you are both using cards, exchange cards at the start of the round, mark your partner’s card with their and your scores.

If you are on the MiScore App but your partner is not, your partner must mark and  sign your card. Your card must then be submitted. Only your partner’s score is submitted from your App.

Using the MiScore App greatly speeds up processing our competitions results.

You may already have free use of the Mi-Score App for your home club. But to use the App for BWDVGC games you must subscribe.

The Mi-Score App costs about $20 a year for a subscription which allows you to use the App to score all our Vets competitions and comp and social games at more than 1,000 physical  golf courses throughout Australia and NZ. It provides satellite views of all those courses and individual holes, along with GPS distances from your position to the green, hazards, or target zones for landing your next shot.

All courses on the current Vets roster are MiScore venues.

UPDATE FOR EVERGLADES FEES

All members are advised that the new fee for games at Everglades will be $30.00, commencing with our next competition there on 4th August. Thank you for your understanding. Everglades continues to be one of our members’ most favoured venues, which is testament to the high standard of maintenance and green-keeping at that course.

Green Fees

I am aware some members are disgruntled at the additional green fees we are charging at some Golf Courses. We must appreciate that, as BWDVGC members, we are given a discount to play on our Central Coast courses. It now appears that most of the golf courses we play now run a Mixed Comp every day.It is now very hard to join a club on the Coast. With joining fees ranging from $500 to $1500 and withincreased social players and an increase in Green Fees.We are now in a position where we pay a different green fee dependent on the Golf Course we are playing. BWDVGC will endeavour to keep our green fees as low as possible.

New Members. We continue to have new members joining us. I would appeal to all members to promote BWDVGC to fellow members of their respective clubs. This is still the cheapest round of golf you can get on the Central Coast.

New Club ShirtsWe have now introduced a new Club shirt. Ray Moeser is our newly appointed Quartermaster, and you can see Ray modelling our new blue shirt on our website.

To order go to bwdvgc.com pay $45 into our account and complete the order, this will go straight to Ray.

Supporting a local Charity

The Committee have decided to support Central Coast Prostate Cancer Support Group with a fund raiser later in the year. I think most of our members will know someone who has had Prostate Cancer or is currently going through treatment. We have an excellent volunteer group on the Central Coast who offer support to those with Prostate Cancer. We will announce later in the year more details of the fund raiser.

SponsorshipThere is a great opportunity for our members to get involved in Sponsoring our events. If you are businessowner or involved in a local business, talk to us about promoting your business through our golf competitions.I do hope you have an enjoyable year of golf and I wish you all Good Health and Good Golf.
